There was a thread about a problem for spyderco captain's linerlock. He said in that thread that his liner bar moves to the left when pressure is added on the spine of his blade. I tried with my captain the same thing and it did move to the left, but very very little. I don't wanna try with my brand new captain but I think you need a tremendous pressure to let the bar go all the way to the left. Is this a defect? or do all linerlocks do this? Should I take this knive back to the store? I am worried with it. Do you have any opinions on this? :(

It may wear in, and not be a problem in the future. Some - some- knives just have too steep an engagement ramp and pressure causes the liner to move out of lock. It is part and parcel of the extreme manufacturing tolerances that are now apparently required for the design. The relationships can't be chosen for ease of manufacturing - they have to fit the design envelope or failure will occur.
The worst thing that could happen is sending it to Spyderco for work. They will be more than happy to address your concern.

Wellll, maybe the worse thing is it closing on your fingers. But it takes a lot of back pressure and/or oscillation in my experience, and I usually figure out I should have been using the sharpened side. :D
