Some of you all have posted about having scale liners made for your Becker (N).

MrN8 looks like he does nice work, but for you DIY'ers it isn't so hard to do. If you are inclined to try there are sites from google that help. So I decided to go for it. There are knife parts suppliers or you can be creative about where you can find some suitable material. The 1/2 inch bolts need to be changed to 5/8 inch which were perfect for the middle of the scale with 0.030 liners, but they were slightly long for the end holes. So a little filing and some cold blue does the trick. The new bolts were 43 cents each from Ace hardware.

Thanks for the idea, bud.

I was wondering about this the other day. Im getting two sets of BK2 and BK9 scales soon so if they fit a little small for my liking, I may add a liner and show some pictures along the way.

DVD / xbox cases work well. Those thin cutting boards and Five Star Notebook covers / folders are also good options! With plastics, all you need, really, is a razor knife and something to cut or drill the bolt holes. Bolt them into your handles (off the knife) and start trimming.

I like how yours turned out! The whole reason I started making some was because I couldn't get a hold of Flexx for a while. It's a fairly easy process, unless you're a good like me and decide to use G10 for the liners!

It depends on the liner width, but for .030", that's correct.
