Hi all!

Just out of my cow suit and been thinking about my 1997 Raven.
Somewhere i saw mentioned that the earlier Ravens has thicker [internal] liners then the more recently produced ones. Is this correct? My Raven also has the more oval then round thumb disc.

Anyone?

Muuuuuuhhhh....

EKI went through two or three thumbdisc variations before they settled on the round ones currently in use.
As for the liners, I thought they were all thick liners so as to counteract the "flimsy" feel of the molded handle.

Aha, any idea on the various shapes of the thumbdiscs?

I thought that all of the Ravens were similar, but then i've heard opinions about the flimsiness of them and i always thought that it wasn't that bad.
I can squeeze the sides towards each others but i can do that with my 98/99 commanders too.

So it got me wondering...

Maybe "flimsiness" is not the appropriate word.

The G-10 is more "rigid" than the kydron, but the thicker liners definitely make up for any difference, IMHO.

I think one of the suspects is a structural engineer, he can explain it better.
As for the thumbdiscs, I am not sure. How many. I think there were two round sizes, and perhaps two oval sizes
