Well, as you all know, while 99.99% of the time, the Triad lock works perfectly without fail, it isn't exactly a rocket sled on rails. I normally use EEZOX for any and all concerns, but even old faithful just won't cut it, LOL!! Pun intended. I tried greases and other oils and CLPS I have...no dice. I've also noticed very unusual wear in the lockup corners of the blade tang on this knife, unlike all my others with the Triad. Any suuggestions

I found out that 3m clear coat safe rubbing compound works great to restore that good as new finish on the Nachez Bowie with the smooth black micarta coffin handles in San Mai. Looks better than it did the day I brought it home!!

I ment LUBING THE RAJAH 2....auto fill

Sorry Glen, I was basically asking questions about which lubrication would be best for speeding up the Rajah 2, I don't know how to fix the "autofill mistake" on the title line.

Also reporting that I found that 3m rubbing compound for clear coat finishes works great on smooth micarta. Sorry I confused everybody

Yes sir, that's exactly what I mean...now granted, it's a wave opener, it's really big, and a super slick polish job and some decent lubrication COULD make it fast as all get out. But I really don't want to break it all the way down unless I'm going to rehandle it. I don't have the machinery needed to do that so that's a no go. But I would like to see it a bit faster out of the gate so to speak. I can slick up the internals of a S&W revolver, and make the action nearly as good as an old Colt Python, but I have a phobia about breaking down folding knives....

Why???

Maybe it has something to do with the phase of the moon and getting snagged open by creatures with giant fangs, who knows...lol BTW: THANK YOU for replying to this.

Well i guess the only thing you can do with polishing the bronze bushings on some polishing cloth... Other than that i do not have a clue

Don't really wanna baptize her in BALLISTOL, anything exposed to just about any CLP LONG ENOUGH will probably show some negative effects, maybe, even a Glock. Just ask a few of those who have soaked a really expensive safe queen 1911 in a CLP and then closed it up in something that the solvent component can't escape from. OUCH!!! Coatings, platings etc get undermined by the stuff creeping under scratches and next thing you know....I know for a FACT BALLISTOL will remove the black coating on Hornaday TAP ammo cases. Safe for primers, seasoning on black powder bores, etc, but its got room to move. I don't grease ammo, and I wipe off excess anything. But there's parts of a Rajah you can't get to if you don't detail strip.

Mineral oil food grade is safest but gums over time, rinse, repeat. Maybe I should get Lawrence Talbot to give it a once over, LOL!!
