Question for MR. Long. Paul, in your advanced video, you used the 2/3 oz. from W&C instead of the 2/3 oz. deer skin. Any particular reason for one vs. the other? Could the W&C split be used in a pouch sheath? Trav

Travis, wherever there is a straight line or a VERY gentle curve in the mouth of the sheath I often use the 2oz veg, tan split on my splitter or the 2/3 oz. split by W/C. The roll of the lining does not like sharp inside or outside curves so on pouch sheaths and other applications where those curves are part of the pattern I use the deer skin because it is more elastic and will stretch to negotiate those curves. On the pouch sheaths the critical area is where it curves sharply coming off the mouth and up the loop. Most pouches have deer skin and most blade sheaths have the lighter weight veg. tan lining.
