Just wondering, has anyone ever agreed to link with a site, and the link was never reciprocated? I agreed to link with a knife forum 3-4yrs. ago, and have had their link on my site all this time. Well, I just recently got around to seeing if they had my link up, and it appears that they don't.
I've e-mailed them with this issue, and it appears that it's just being ignored.
If I were a web guru, I'd just delete their link, but I'm not. I guess they just got a few years of free.....

Steve,

Checked out your web site and it said I was visitor #1 !!! That either means that I win a free knife (I like you 7" filet knife
smile.gif
) or your counter isn't working! Your prices are very fair, but I want better pictures!!! Can you send me a better one of the filet knife???

As far as links go, I don't know what your agreement with BFC was (The only "knife forum" listed in your links page..), but I'm sure they will honor it if you contact them!

Here's a link to the page in question for those that care: http://www.Stevescutlery.com/links.htm

And here is a number for Mike and Spark from BFC who could help you straighten this all out:

Welcome to posting on BFC!

Well guys, Michael, I've been having low disc space problems of late, and that's really been dealing me fits as far as pictures go.
Please E me, and I'll snail some info to you.
knives4u3@juno.com

Concerning the counter: I guess I could say that all visitors are #1
biggrin.gif
, but actually
this site has been up for about three years, and the counter never did work right. Maybe one of these days I'll learn how to work on the site, since there's much I'd like to change there.

I have e-mailed bladeforums concerning the link, and have gotten no reply. Thanx for the contact info, I'll give that a shot.

Have a great Thanksgiving! May you all enjoy good food and good company.

Steve

Skip those emails! Even Mike and Spark admit that they have way too many emails to answer! Mike always says to give him a call if there is a problem! (If what you say is true, there is a problem! Lack of integrity can be a big problem...)

As far as the counter goes, does this mean that I'm not getting my free knife???!!!

Good luck with your linkage, let us know what happens!

(Get us some better pictures!!!)

Michael

Steve, I checked out your site (nice knives, NICE prices) but two of your links were dead:

Madpoet Custom Knives

Sorry. No Such Address.
If you clicked on a link...
You may have found one of the millions of links to Web sites that have gone out of business or moved without leaving a forwarding address. It's like having the former address of someone you've lost touch with. Unfortunately, this is very common on the Internet. There's no remedy for this.

Unfortunatly that would be the case with Madpoet Custom Knives, Mel Sorg left this realm sometime back.

I don't know about this one. Thank you for your kind words, and for letting me know of
the links. I hope to work on the site soon, and will them.

Thanx again,

Hey Steve,
Pretty cool!

Would you find a larger picture of your steak knife set and a knife alone?

Kris.

Steve, I am really impressed with your updated site. It is easy to navigate and the pictures are great. I love the way the thumbnails open to more pistures that also have thumbnails. Well done.

So how do you make your knives so inexpensively (I almost posted cheap) ? They look way to nice to be so low cost.:)

Keith; thank you for the kind words. The new site is the work of Alex Whetsell of Atlanta Virtual, they do some great work. Anyone needing a new site might do well by contacting them.
The knives pictured on our site are made by a neighbor friend's family operation, and they really have it down to a science after doing it for about 25yrs. The site as it is generates enough orders for the type of work I prefer, which is one of a kind, and art type knives to keep me busy fulltime. Always something different and challenging...I love it.

Thanks again.

Steve
