I can never get the 'Insert Link' or 'Insert Image' icons to work. PC just beeps at me and nothing else happens (no new window). Anytime I want to do a link, I have to type it in longhand such as url=http://www.bladeforums.com/]CLICK HERE FOR BLADEFORUMS[/url].
What may be a reason that I cannot do the method below?

1. Copy URL (CTRL-C) you wish to click to.
2. Write text in editing window.
3. Highlight area of text you want as link
4. Click the little globe and chain button on the edit window.
5. Paste (CTRL-V) the saved URL in the new window.
6. Done!

From the FAQ:

How do I add an image to a post?

If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.

To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing
after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?) in this way too.

What i normally do:

1) Copy URL from properties box of image.

2) Hit insert image icon (Globe) you should get a message bar asking to temporarily allow scripted windows. If you dont, check your pop-up blocker. Click on the proper menu to allow scripted window.

3) Remove http//: in scripted window (your URL should already contain it)
and insert URL in dialog box.

4) Click OK button to insert image into post.

Adjusted my pop-up blocker to allow pop-ups on this site.
IT WORKS!

Wait a minute....no, it doesn't work. The "IT WORKS" phrase above was supposed to have a hidden link, but no link is being attached when I use the globe icon. hmmmmmm
