Links or articles comparing commonly used steels?

Does anyone have any links or articles that compare the different specs and characteristics of the commonly used steels? (AUS 6, AUS 8, VG10, D2....) I'm looking for lamens tech stuff such as:
Rockwell
Edge retention
Resharpening ability
Corrosion resistance

More technical would be:
By manufacturer:
Tempering used
Cryogenics
Coatings used


Any help you can give will be appreciated.
 
There's a short article comparing knife steels that gets re-posted quite frequently. You can find it posted at AG Russell's website, as well as a chart showing the metal compositions of many common steel types.

Personally, I think the article could use an update, but it's the best I've seen so far.
