Links to posts in messages unfurl as a default ?

Folks,

Used to be when you cut and paste a link to a thread in a PM / DM, it would be a highlighted link.

Now the entire post, or most of it unfurls in the message.


Is there any way to change this so this doesn't happen ?

Members end up responding in the sale / trade thread instead of the PM / DM, causing much consternation.

I believe the current forum settings add extra BBS code to links when you POST REPLY. And I don't see a way to change that.

If you paste the link into the thread, then remove the https:// you get the pseudo link below. They can paste that into their browser and get to the thread. Not as easy as clicking, but it does get you to where you want to go.
