How do i remove lint out of the springs on my slipjoints?, it gets stuck between the liners and the spring about 1-3 cm in towards the middle of the handle
It just seems impossible to pull it out

Ultrasonic cleaning tank. Best way to get rid of anything you can't reach. $50 at harbor freight. Cleans your handguns too.

When compressed air is close at hand I always use a toothpick to clean mine out.

I dont have compressed air, and i doubt that would do anything, when i grip it with a pincett it just rips it and the base of the fluff is still stuck
I guess it will just work itself out over time, there is no way to disassemble the thing and clean everything
I also doubt putting a wood or bone handled knife in a ultrasonic cleaner is a good idea
Very annoying this
Going to try to push it with a q tip or toothpick like item that can not scratch the metal

You can get compressed air at most any computer store. It is used to
blow dirt, etc. out of keyboards, etc.

An ounce of prevention and all that... Have a leather pocket sheath made and leave your woes behind you.
For now go to some electronics/big box store and get the keyboard air cleaner as previously stated.

Try going in a service station and asking if you could barrow an air gun for the air compressor? Amazing what 150 or so pounds of pressure will blow out!I carry my knives all day on an ATV in the summer 7 days/ week and they get filled with dust etc. ( gun to!!!!) it will get it out!!!!

Been seeing the dentist a lot lately since getting insurance. Funny though, when the dentist walks in and sees me sitting in the dentist chair using his air gun thingy to blow out the crap in between the liners and spring of my knife, he always just gives a small smile and a chuckle. I usually put it back in the holding rack at that point though. That little metal straw type nozzle just gets into the smallest gaps. Not sure if I recommend trying this though...:D

Some of the dental picks that have plastic handles don't get autocaved to sterilize but get tossed. I asked to keep the one he used on me just for things like this. Works great.

This made me smile! I personally will use a toothpick or old toothbrush to clean mine out, though I just bought an air compressor and might give that a go.........
