NepaLinux
NepaLinux is a Debian-based live and installation CD localised into the Nepali language, complete with Nepali fonts, input method, spell and grammar checker, dictionary, and GNOME theme. Besides the distribution, the project also provides extensive documentation for localisation into Nepali under Linux and is the leading advocate of open source software in the country.

In September 2006, NepaLinux 1.1 version and later in January-February 2007, NepaLinux 2.0 version is being planned for releases. While the NepaLinux 1.1 would be relatively bug-free version of the existing NepaLiinux 1.0,

Sweet. I haven't tried this particular distribution, but have tried many. Linux is very well suited to Nepal in that it supports all the older machines that Micro$oft has stopped supporting; a viable, up-to-date (not to mention secure, stable, and freely upgradable) os available for the price of a download. I haven't used MS products for more than 5 minutes at a time, and then not by choice, for at least ten years. (My first distribution was Slackware 0.98 -- 40 floppy disks.)

All right, I'll get off the soapbox. Here are some links:
