Got a chance to pick up a Lion Steel SR-1 on the cheap. Does anyone have one that has been used that could give some feedback, not interested in safe queens.

Great quality and craftsmanship. Detent is a little on the strong side making blade deployment a little difficult, especially with the slick handles. Blade steel holds a great edge but can spot and stain if not kept protected with a light oil coating after use. I wasn't crazy about the blade shape but some may find it appealing. I hope this helps.

I had one and liked it but ended up trading it because I just was not crazy about the aluminum handle, always felt slippery in my hand or something.

I think they look like really nice knives, I haven't seen one in person yet. I am tempted to buy the titanium version, but I'm scared to drop that much money on something I might not like

sent mine back. looked better than it felt in hand.

too slick and not crazy about deployment lock or blade shape

really like mine. lock was sticky so I bent the pocket clip back to take pressure off the lock bar and it went away.

I had an aluminum SR2 for a hot minute and was quite impressed. I see centering issues pretty consistently (perhaps a side effect of the one-piece frame construction) but mine was dead center with silky action and perfect lockup. I've seriously considered getting a SR1 Ti as a keeper because of it. I'll probably just snag a Lionspy instead, though, as even at secondary market prices it's about the same as a new SR1 and I prefer spyderholes to thumbstuds.
