Their Ti frame locks sure look good. Has anyone owned one? Should I buy one or stick with ZT's?

I've owned 2: the Ace, which was a collab with HEADesigns, and the new GSD, which is an upscale version of the CRKT production knife he designed. Obviously, they were both made by Reate. I haven't owned any Reate's that weren't designed by him.

They do seem to flip differently than my ZTs. If I had to describe them I'd say "slower but smoother?" Something like that. They are worth trying, imho, if you are in the market for a flipper in that price range. I won't say you'll like them better but they are high quality flippers that feel different to ZT.

I will say, I really LOVE the GSD.

I have two Liong Mah knives. I have the Remedy and the Warrior 1, both made by Reate. They are great knives and great flippers and I really enjoy them. I've had my eye on the Slim Daily Carry with the textured scales but can't bring myself to spend the funds. I'd also like to check out the new Warrior with CF presentation scale.

I also recommend Liong's knives....I had both the warrior 1 and 2, both were very well built with awesome action. I agree with Spy's assessment that they are "slower but smoother" than ZT on average....however nothing beats the action on a 0450:-)

I have also handled the Ace, Remedy, and SDC....all were as well built as the warriors I own. Personally I think they are a bit high on price, but if you can snag one on the secondary for a decent price you cant go wrong.

I was sorely tempted on this one as well.

I have the Warrior 1 Version 2 and the flipping action is smooth as butter. Couldn't be happier with it. I will also agree with the above descriptions of the LM flipping action being slower but smoother. The ZT flippers I have owned tend to fire with a certain authority. As small as my 0450 CF is, it can almost jump out of my hand. The LM Warrior's flip just seems to smoothly glide out into position.

I have 6 or so from Liong Mah. Excellent quality and action. My favorites are the Warrior 2 and the new GSD models. If there is a particular design you like, don't hesitate.
