Hi all,
I have a Bastinelli BBR1 made by Lionsteel. The previous owner cerakoted the titanium locking scale, and I believe this is causing lockup issues as the lock face doesn't engage the blade fully. I want to have the scale media blasted to remove the cerakote, which should solve the problem I hope. This should also restore the factory finish, which would be nice.
Even if this knife had a warranty I'm assuming it is void now given the modifications, but I am willing to pay for the service. I want it done right, and I figure Lionsteel would be the place to ensure that. Can anyone tell me if this is something that can be done? I emailed the company but haven't yet received a response.
