Hope this is in the right thread / forum...just curious if anyone else who has a LionSteel SR-1 has had some of the finish wear off the knife from the woodbox that it comes in? Is this a common occurence and if so why doesn't LionSteel fix this issue? I just recieved one from KnifeCenter (who shipped fast for free and price matched a competitor but maybe should have caught the slight flaw) and right out of the box slight maring on the handle. Nothing that I am going to send the knife back because but just curious as to what everyone else has experienced. Besides that, top notch knife!!!! LOVE IT!!!! Also, if anyone knows how to tag Gianni I would appreciate it, like to know what he thinks.

I just got a SR-1-B the third week of June and have carried it since. It is a great knife. Far as what you are pointing out, I had nothing of the sort on mine. But the surface you show would be the side up in the box wouldn't it? Sorta look like a scar/scratch or something. Have you wiped it down with Windex? Windex will make the anodizing really pop. It's not something on the surface is it? Have you tried any type of cleaning solution to see if it would come off?

Lots of questions! But enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying mine!

Cutter....the knife came lockbar side up in my box. Where the blem is it wore the bronzing off a tad, you can see it on the box where it rubbed. I LOVE the LionSteel...but kind of think that maybe the knives should just come in a cloth or something. I have not tried wiping it with a cleaner to make the anodizing pop, will try but the blem will still be there.

Looks more like damage from handing to me, not from the box. Maybe while at the factory or the dealer?
