Lionsteel Thrill Pull

I got a lionsteel thrill (aluminium) a few days ago. While opening it today I heard a slight noise and the pull went soft. Now the pull is very soft with little to no distinctive click when at half stop and open. Any ideas on how to fix/why it happened?

I used my thrill for about six months before that happened. Took a flashlight and checked the back spring part of the aluminum handle, and there were little cracks on the inside. The spring had given out.

I’d made a note to try to take a pic and send an email to lion steel to see what they might cover, but haven’t gotten around to it. It’s unusable with such a soft pull.

I checked it out and I can’t make out any cracks but I see a piece of aluminum floating around in there so something did break. Thanks for letting me know, have a good day

Sure enough, I found a large crack. This is incredibly frustrating as I got it two days ago and now have to ship it right off.

Was this ever resolved? I'm curious how interacting with LionSteel customer service went.

Lionsteel was great about it and were going to contact the retailer (bought it from BladeHQ) and replace it for me. However out of fear of it breaking again, I asked for a refund and BHQ sent me a shipping label and refunded me. While I won’t be getting another Thrill I was happy with how Lionsteel treated me and helped me resolve the situation.

I'm glad to hear that you had a positive experience with LionSteel support; it's good to know if I ever have a problem with one of their knives.

Thanks for giving an update.
