Please see the attached pictures. I am very new to knife collecting and only have about 5 in my collection, with this being the newest addition. Behind the blade is totally unfinished and inside the thumb cutout is mostly unfinished. Is this normal or did I happen to get one that was made last-thing-Friday? All my other knives are much more finished in these areas, but I wanted to get expert feedback before taking action.

Thanks in advance for helping a newb out!

The blade tang being unfinished is normal. The thumb slot I am not sure about but it wouldn't surprise me.

I know they are expensive but they are still production knives...

Plus one to neverdie. The hole is milled out, it would be an extra step and an expensive one at that to have a guy polish the hole. Nice knife BTW, they are releasing one with an aluminum handle in the near future.
