Lionsteel TRE G10 Review

I really like the TRE g10 I received in trade today. It's surprisingly light, and came very sharp. A quick touch up on the Work Sharp at the highest grit and it cuts phone book paper like a laser.
The only thing I wasn't initially impressed by was the pocket clip, but if it doesn't grow on me I'll just remove it and carry it in pocket.

I love the knife, the steel and the heat treat. The pocket clip doesn't work well with jeans. May have one of my buddies make me one because the knife is great for a small folder. Russ

I haven't tried to remove my pocket clip yet, but it seems I'll have to take he whole knife apart to do so.
Hopefully I can get it back together without the clip...

I have a question about the edge on the TRE G-10 M390 blade. Is this a single bevel edge or does it have a small secondary bevel? Thanks.

Single bevel on mine, but I got it second hand. I don't think the previous owner sharpened it, though.
Looks like a factory grind.

I've only had a TRE in G10 for a few days now and I just noticed something that's new to me. I only have two other flippers and one has a stop bar and the other uses mock-thumb-studs for that purpose. I realized the TRE has neither and it appears that the frame lock bar holds the blade in place by locking into place under the tang. I suppose this is at least somewhat similar to a backlock in that it serves two purposes. Is this a feature unique to this knife or Lionsteel or has it been used on other knives?

Never mind, I looked the knife from its front and noticed the stop bar in front of the pivot

I love my TRE. and I really enjoyed that review. The only knock I have is the pocket clip, I would love to hear what other people have found to make it more usuable with jeans, but once it's in my pocket I forget it's there. Only other thing I could add would be a little jimping on the top of the blade. Thanks again for the review!

Not so big, but perfect made and really good of opportunity to change - flip or ..
Have a look on the foto - could be great deal!

Ergonomics are excellent, as is the G10 machining.

Makes my PM & PM2's feel a little rough around the edges

I echo what others have said.. I received my G10 version in the mail a few days ago and I really enjoy it. My favorite EDC is/was the BM 707, and this knife's size is very similar. The flip-speed is not super fast.. I applied a little BM lube, which helped.. its getting a little smoother. I find it helps to **gently** apply pressure on the lock, towards the blade, when opening and closing -to help polish the ball track on the blade. After a while, that's helped smooth-out the action a little. When the lock pressure is removed, the blade swings smoothly, so I know there's no friction being contributed by the bearing system itself.

Also, the edge polished-up to a mirror finish with a sapphire stone on my Lansky system.

Lastly, I did reach out to info@lionsteel to ask if I could purchase a CF scale as an after-market swap.. though I doubt that will occur.. ;)

Just a quick follow-up to say Lionsteel confirmed my assumption that they won't sell a c.f. Scale as an aftermarket purchase. Would have been cool but I understand. Still loving my G10 just the same... She's a sweetie.
