Hey everyone:

Anyone have experience with or opinions about the Lionsteel TRE titanium? I have seen and read many reviews, most are positive, but wanted to see what experiences others have had with it.

Thanks!

I owned one. The flipper action was adequate but not amazing, and it was tricky to use because of the small size... Any way you open it, the slightest touch on the lock bar would cause problems, and it was difficult to not touch the lock bar on such a small knife. Fit and finish was incredible, and it looks and feels gorgeous.

That describes mine as well. I ended up bending a touch more tension into the lock on mine and the action improved. Extremely well made little knife, with the gimmick removable flipper thing that allows you to go flipper or no flipper.

I have to admit that the thing I like best about it, years later now, is actually the key ring that came with it that has two little torx drivers on it--I've used that thing ever since and it's one of my favorite pieces of knife gear.

Great thanks. How well did the knife cut?

Also adequate. I think it was a fairly thick stock for such a small knife, and the geometry did not seem really optimized for slicing. It is a very small knife. If it was a bit larger and the grind was a bit thinner, I probably would have kept it.

Mine has an inadequate flipping action. I showed it to Gianni at the Blade Show. He nodded his assent as he handed it back to me.
