LOOKING AT THE G10 VERSION:
I know this on has been around a while and saw vids, but I haven't heard any "use" reports.
I'm a big fan of M390 and would like to have another.
*How does it slice?
*Cut cardboard?
*Whittle pine?
*Slice apple?
As you see, I don't intend to use it hard.
Thanks

Its about the same size as the ZT 0450 and its as good a slicer as the ZT 0450 ;-) I used the G10 version for half a year and sold it. It does not flip at all, you need a good wrist shake to open the knife - some say thats because of the original TRE concept of a removable flipper tab combined with a weak detent. The frame lock is much too stiff, so stiff your thumb starts to hurt every time you close the knife.

Mine is a user, I carry it regularly. Flips fine after some tuning, but it needs to be flipped with authority. Sissy finger pulls may not get it to open all the way.

I had one and sold it. Nothing wrong with it in terms of quality. Great little knife. But that was the problem for me, it was too small. It’s smaller than it appears in photos or at least in my opinion it is. If flips great if you can keep your fingers off the lock bar which I had trouble doing since the knife was so small. I would suggest handling one if possible before you buy.

Here’s a pic of mine. It isn’t a good flipper at all unless you tune it up. There are a lot of complaints out there concerning the pocket clip, mine doesn’t have any of the issues mentioned. I recommend buying one used or at least handling one before first. If I paid full price for mine, I would have been very disappointed.

I had one, and also sold it off rather quickly. While it was not a great flipper, that wasn't too big a deal for me. I find any knife needs just a little bit of unique touch to get it to flip reliably, so this one only had it's own personality. Once I put an edge on it with the wicked edge it was a dream for slicing.

I was rather impressed with the quality of if it for the price. The scales were milled out on the inside, which is only usually found on much more expensive knives. The milling on the scales for the contours was a thing of beauty. Really elegant design and finish.

I specifically bought it for a knife that hides in the pocket of dress pants. Only sold it getting funds together for a more significant purchase. Easy sell because I rarely wear dress pants. But it is a nice little EDC and for the price I really enjoyed it's quality.

Thank you everyone. This is going to be a tough decision.
I like the blade shape and the steel, but the other,.... well.
