I bumped into this metal while doing due diligence on AAPL (Apple stock, they have patent rights). It has been talked about on the forum for years. Does this metal have a future in cutlery? Is it in Buck's future?

Skip heat treating, finishing dept. and skip sharpening. Sounds like there are advantages. Why isn't it riding in my RF pocket I wonder?

I haven't seen anything about this in quite a while now.

There was a article about it in Blade magazine a few years ago though.
 
Cliff Stamp tested a knife of LM1 years ago and there were issues. Banned on these forums, his methods are interesting. The target knife experienced some shattering. His blog is easy to find.

LM is used in Omega Seamaster watch parts.
