List for clips

Steve,

Would it be possible for you to post a sticky with a list of the knives that will accommodate your low rider clip without modification or shipping?

It kind of depends on the person asking. I can do a great many knife clips if I know the placement of the fold over for the 180 degree bend. For example all Emerson knives use the same clip pattern as the Mini Griptilian and Griptilian, which are both knives I can make clips for without the knives here. The fold over spot on the blank to make the 180 is in a different spot for virtually every Emerson model made. So, can I make Emerson clips without the knives? Yes but only if the customer can measure to the end of the folder where I would make the 180 bend. If they are not comfortable with doing that or fear they did it wrong then the answer is no and I'd need the knife to do it.

As for sure fire knives I can do clips for without needing the knife? Well, that could change with one knife traded or sold by me or by a new purchase to get one I didn't used to have.

Right now as of today I can make clips for
Para Military both original and Para 2
Delica 4
Military
Harley Davidson Mini Hardtail (Benchmade)
Junk Yard Dog II
Leek

Thats really about it but the list is potentially much longer if customers can measure from the mid line of the two wider set screws in the three hole pattern clips. Since the middle screw is not used on my low riders those two screws east and west of the folded over stem are important in that from where you insert the drivers to turn a screw to the end of the folder determines the mm distance I need to make a clip optimized to give you the max benefit a low rider offers. Hope that makes sense.

Some knives, due to the curvature of the handle do not allow the knife to be buried fully. Generally speaking if the first place where the clip would overhang is off the spine its best to only overhang a little or not at all due to how easily it is for the palm to feel the clip in use. The clip hides in the hand and is more comfortable if it does not overhang by too much off the spine. It can hang off the end of the knife on either end so long as its not so much to look odd or interfere with the thumb stud or rotation of the blade. All these things are what determine if I can make a clip with or without the knife.

Hi Steve?
I just got a junk yard dog II and would like to get a low rider clip. I have been told and seen yours, they are much better. Would like to change factory out. What is your cost and are they available? Thanks.
Kevin
