I'm in the market for a clamped, guided sharpening system and I want to make sure I'm considering everything available (excluding the cheesy ones under a hundred bucks, and maybe $500 or so at the top end).

Here's what I've found so far:

tsprof K02 ($470), or K03 ($590)

KME ($180-300, depending on kit)

Wicked Edge GO ($150 pre-order) [edit: I guess WE has a couple other models under $500]

Hapstone v7 ($240-300 depending on stone package, but apparently the V7 does not have the now-discontinued clamp mechanism that is on the V6, but does have magnets so it's a form of clamping I guess), or V6 ($230-290 depending on stone package, +$150 for discontinued clamp)

Any others?

What about DMT Aligner and Lansky with diamond stones. They are slightly under $100 but probably not cheesy.

There are some lower end ones that are made in China that are under $50.

Not yet available. It will be named with another letter.

Can you reveal if your new sharpener will contiue to use the Edge Pro-standard mounted stones? I was thinking of investing in some of the Poltava CBN stones that you offer, but I'm also interested in your new sharpener and don't want to get stuck with incompatible stones.

Yes, of course. It will always utilize the universal stone holders with Edge Pro compatibility.
