I was just thinking... dangerous, I know, but it might be nice to have a list of EBay handles for the Schradeophiles. :) For example, I'm currently going after an 858OT, but wouldn't go quite as high if one of the fine folks here wanted it more.

What say y'all, folks? Sound like a good idea? I'm sword_and_shield1, for starters. :)

Well mine is no secret. I think I may have bid against you once or twice Dale.

(I used to be an archaeologist)

But as I've mentioned before, I absolutely do not take it personally if one of you guys bids outbids me. The way I see it, anyone who places a higher bid than mine is simply paying too much, and is welcome to the object in question. :D

And to be honest, I'll never remember your eBay names anyway...

Happy bidding,
-Bob

No problem Rick.....I didn't even notice. :D

I'd never take it personally if someone were to outbid me, more along the lines of not wanting to go head-to-head against a diehard pattern collector. ;)

I wouldn't want to drive up the price unnecessarily, by bidding against a friend.

Glennbad, just like my handle here...

Same as my handle here. I've no problem with anyone bidding against me - if I wanted a knife bad enough my top price would be my bid. If another wanted it more, then so be it. :-)

conpod2000 on ebay, although I haven't been playing there as of late. I won't take it badly if one of you guys bids against me, I'd rather loose to someone here at the forum, at least I know the knife is going to a good home.

I am with you there. If someone wants it worse than me then go for it.

DALE.... Man, I didn't KNOW that was you !!!!

But hey, if memory serves me correctly, you hold your on !!

I usally look for "friendlies" and if/when found, will not enter the auction... I like Phil's idea, if I were REALLY interested in an item, if I know them from this forum, I would hope an inquiring email would be welcomed. I know I have been extended that courtesy from a member, even if he did later call me a LURKSTER!!! Just kidding IRV....

But dang, Dale... My first ever contact in this forum.... You should have let me known - told me "Hey, look here numbskull" .....

dannybee; known at times to "sign" dcb

ebay: dcb818686579 (where all numbers but one have significance)

dannybee,
No problem man!
As you can see I found another copy of the 1979 ad from the same seller. I also screwed up and bid on two auctions of the 1978 ad. If you win the 1980 ad maybe you can send me a copy of it. And I will send you a copy of the 1978 ad.
Actually I have another and from guns and ammo in 1979 that I don't see listed there. Send me an e-mail and I will e-mail you a copy and if you don't have it I will send you a copy on archive paper, suitable for mounting.

My e-mail is:
dalervincent@comcast.net

Take care,
Dale
