If this thread is in the wrong section I apologize ahead of time.

I was wondering if you guys can give me a list of any knives that have a ball bearing pivot system.

I already know about the one ZT model, the Brous Blades, and the Kershaw model.

Thanks

Well of the top of my head:
Spyderco southard
Crkt ripple, Eros, swindle, sampa, carajas
And The zts (561) you talked about and kershaw (tilt?)

There's also the up coming Redford 801 flipper (ZT)

Hope it helps cheers!

*EDIT*
There's also a lot of balisongs that use bearings......I'm just not very knowledgable about them so no help there i guess:p

If you've ever seen/have the ZT 0560 - I'm looking for that kind of ball bearing pivot system. The CRKTs and the Southard all have a kind of flash deployment...but the 0560 has a much slower deployment, I'm looking for that kind

The Microtech Whaleshark is exactly like that. I highly recommend it.

I am not sure what you mean by "flash" deployment but I believe you are mistaken. The Southard uses a set of nylon washers embedded with tiny ball bearings, in fact the system on the Southard is almost identical to that of the ZT 0560/1. The CRKTs use ikbs, which has loose ball bearings riding in a track cut into the blade. No springs or *flash" opening mechanisms, just bearings and a flipper. Either way, the things that determines the speed of the action are flipper location, detent strength, and blade weight. Typically a flipper higher on the back of the handle leads to more force transfered into the flipping action. A strong detent will make a blade flip faster. And a heavy blade (like the ZT's) will slow down the action. What you asked for in your original post however, was a list of models featuring ball bearing pivots, and the Southard and the CRKTs listed fit that description.

None of the CRKs have a ball bearing in the pivot.

Actually the CRK Ti-Lock has the smoothest ball bearing pivot I've ever encountered and that includes customs with bb pivots by Les Voorhies, Todd Begg and Mikkel Willumsen.

Umnumzaan!

Maybe other CRK's but thats all i know.

The Umnum has a Ceramic ball that acts as a detent as well as the "lock-face" but it does not have a bearing pivot, however the CRK Ti-lock does have a bearing pivot.

Very good catch! - I don't think of that as a CRK knife because of the collaboration with the Hawks, but you're right!

I have a Brian Tighe "Tighe Rod" with a ball bearing pivot. I'm not sure if my Boker Anti MC has one, but I can't take it apart until I get a parts catcher sack.
