List of knives you've given up to convert to hinderers :P

I just realized that I have very little desire to fondle my other knives over my baby 3" slicer blue g10 including my sebenzas!!!

Which knives have you given up to purchase a hinderer or after receiving your hinderer did you not spend as many nights together anymore?


I for one am selling 11 knives including an umnumzaan to help pay for my first XM-18 and already looking to buy my second XM-18 and thinking of parting with one of my sebbies.

I sold a Les George VECP and a mint Benchmade Mini-Rukus with carbon fiber scales to finance my 3" XM-18. I will probably sell some knives in October in order to have cash for the JC knife show in November. I plan on winning the lottery and buying some outrageous custom!!!!!

That JC custom is quite possibly the greatest XM-18 to ever exist. Not sure if I like the damascus as much but the scales and anodize look GREAT!
 
As of now I have never sold a knife. I have lost or gifted several, but not sold some to fund others.

If I were to sell some in order to add more Hinderers to my collection, I'd likely start with my more common pieces before letting go of others.
 
After carrying the Hinderer for a few months, it became clear that most of my collection was just going to collect dust. I kept a couple of Kerhsaw Crowns as beaters. Those will be replaced with Cryos though. I also kept a ZT 0560. I use it for chores around the house.
 
I just sold a bunch to fund my first hinderer (Blue 3 inch slicer non flipper). A bradley kimura 5, spyderco endura, spyderco citadel, spyderco leafstorm, Zt 0350, and an Emerson mini commander. I'm cringing thinking about what I will have to sell to get a 3.5 inch
 
I sold 3 antler knives and one small hunter I made to fund this now permant addiction. I got a 3"inch nonflipper...My new EDC
 
Sold some plasma. . . Got a loan from one of those "loan" stores right on the edge of town by the train station. . . I divested some college savings from my children's 529 plan (but i will replace it). . . I went on a "water-only" diet for lunches for 2 weeks. . . I re-fied my mortgage and used the refund from the escrow. . . I withheld bdays from my kids and wife for a few months. . . Sold my Sebenzas, BM's, Alan Davis' as well as my lawnmower and snowblower. . .

Just kidding. . . I just saved up my pennies and dimes.
 
worst part was selling the lawnmower :barf: therapeutic ride on a weekend morning and helps make sure you don't have any snakes hiding in the grass, hah
