  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

List of known design or manufacturing defects

Well, I don't know about any of the others, but I know my SOG Powerlock is just perfect! Sounds like he just got some bad apples...a whole basket full!

Was it Li'l Abner that had a character who walked around with a rain cloud over his head all day? :)

Let me see ... I've had a Leatherman Supertool, 2 Waves, a Schrade Tough Tool, a Purple Juice, and a Pulse. I have a Micra, a SOG PowerLock and a Gerber 800. No such significant defects! and a couple of these were second-hand.

Of course tools clump. Clean them off, lubricate the whole multitool, and you can practically flip it like a balisong, (my SOG came that smooth!) and each individual tool will come when called. They have to be tight at first or they'd fall apart after any hard use.

I don't doubt his tale of woe, though, and I will say it's a good idea to be aware of faults before you get hurt by a defective tool.
