List of members in a sub-forum?

Hi Spark,

A few quick questions for ya...

Will we again be able to see at a glance at the bottom of any sub-forum main page, who is, & how many people are currently in the 'room', next to the moderator list like we could before the upgrade? :) ...Or is that feature gone for good?

Also, I noticed that the "Currently Active Users" list on the BF.com main page used to be in alphabetical order... Now it isn't. It was easier to scan this 'master list' when looking to see if a specific member is online before... May I ask you to consider changing this back to the old way if it is an available option? :)

I would also like to know if we are going to get that feature back.
 
Server intensive feature, so it's turned off right now. Might come back, might not.

Its like going to the play ground and all your friends are off playing hide-and-go-seek..

Sure hope you restore it sometime soon.

Unless anyone is going to come 5 figures deep out of their pocket, I'm guessing that we can either do without the feature or deal with the "server too busy" pages all the time during peak hours. And, for the record, I liked having it too.


Keeping a forum as large as BF online is not cheap. Your $25, or mine, probably only covers a small percentage of monthly bandwidth charges and doesn't even come close to helping with equipment upgrades.


I have been wondering about that non-alphabetized user list though. Seems weird!
 
Man, I definitely missed this feature... Thanxx for turning it back on, Spark!! :D:thumbup:
 
With this turned back on, we're already seeing much higher server loads.

If we start seeing "server too busy" errors it's going away again.
 
Spark,

Would it make any difference regarding the server loads, if you just allow the paying members to see/receive this feature?.

And if it would help to some degree, it would also be yet one more incentive for the non-paying members to pony up some $$ and become paying members.
