List of phenolic models?

Has anyone assembled a comprehensive list of Buck knives made with the black phenolic handles? Not necessarily every variation, just a list of model numbers and names. I searched the forum and Google for such a list, but was unsuccessful.

I am familiar with the current production models, and of course the 120, but what other models were made over the years? I recall my father having one that doesn't seem to match up to any of the models available now, so I'm confident there were some in the past that are now discontinued.

102 Woodsman, 103 Skinner, 105 Pathfinder, 119 Special, 120 General... what others?

The reason I'm asking, if a fellow was to track down one of each it would make a very interesting mini-collection. Might do it if all of the models are reasonably achievable.

p.s. Does anyone recall the Cabela's retail price for the 120 General? I don't seem to have any of the old catalogs.

102 Woodsman,
103 Skinner,
105 Pathfinder,
116 Caper,
118 Personal,
119 Special,
120 General
121 Guide/fisherman,

????? I feel as though I am forgetting one :D

The 124 Frontiersman /122 Nemo were made using phelonic handles . Bob, The last time I looked in Cabela's catalog the 120 was listed for 63$ . Has it been cold up in Raton ?
Some guys here have all the models you mention in their collection . They post pictures of them from time to time . DM

No snow yet but it's certainly cooling off. Fall colors are well underway in the yard. The aspens up in the mountains changed some time ago.

Thanks for the list! Wish I knew which one Dad had...

There are many pictures here of the phenolic 124 so I won't repeat it here.

Here are the eight phenolic BUCK fixed blades. This particular set is the 1964-66 group with the BUCK only stamp.

Even you forgot one other phenolic handled BUCK................................106 Axe.:D

Telechronos:):):)

Tele, Handsome set, I really like those and in the Buck display box . Yes, I left out the axe . Could you extend some leniency as Bob's OP ask for phenolic handled 'Buck knives' . Not phenolic handled Buck's 100 series . He went on to specifically say he's looking for his dad's old knife and was wanting the names of those . So, I went this route . DM

Ok thanks guys . Bob, the only other Buck model of those early fixed blade 100 series knives was the 107 Scout, introduced in 1976 . Does that sound familiar ? Yet, it didn't come with a phenolic handle . DM

Habbie, You want to tell us about #7 down and who painted the flower on the 2 line Nemo . You've got a great collection going . Are you closer to having things more organized after the move ? DM

Thanks a lot, Guys, for the kind comments! :-))

DM, the #7 is a 639. It is a limited edition, 315 were made without the sawback. But tere are some more with the serretions out there.

I don't know who made the inserts ot the flower. but that was the time at the beginning of the seventies - flower power as its best.

No, Dave, I've to spare my money. The "new" house takes more than the flat before. So I'm not able to buy knives as I like.
These knives are bought between 1999 and 2009.

The 116 is a three liner without date code.

Best,
Haebbie

Habbie, What name did Buck give the 639 ? Your 116 looks a lot like my daughters . Same shape, I sure like it . As far as use, I use the 116 as a bird and trout knife and like to use my 110 as a caper . Thanks for all the info.. DM

You're welcome, David.

The 639 wit the kraton handle is called "Fieldmate". But I'm sorry, I don't know the name of te phenolic handle 639.

Yes, the 116 is a great knife. I have two of them, one for the use it in the kiitchen and the other for the collection.

Best, Haebbie

I thought that was its name but with the phenolic handle, I thought it could have a different name . Thanks . DM

Dad's had a slender blade as I recall. He used it for fishing but I don't believe it was the fillet model. Maybe the Pathfinder, Woodsman, or similar.

Thanks everyone. This sure was useful and inspiring.

Bob, Your sure it was not the 121 Fisherman pictured above . What years did he have it and use it ? Do You wish someone would have kept it ? DM
