List of points for infractions?

It's not really fixed. Sometimes a newbie finds this place so confusing he posts in the wrong forums over and over before he finally figures it out -- no problem; we can forgive him that. Another time somebody deliberately posts for-sale ads in the discussion forums -- he's shark food. Every case is different.
 
50 points makes an automatic ban. That does not mean you could keep doing the same 5-point infraction ten times over before you would finally get banned, though.
 
Infractions are variable depending on the offense. I can post a list, but the mods have discretion on how many points can be awarded, their duration, and whether points are even issued, or if it's a warning. On top of that, if something isn't in the list, but is worthy of being called out on, we can assign points to it as well.

So, ya, there are codified infractions, but it's not really a big deal.
