I currently carry a Benchmade 555hg and it's bigger and bulkier than I like.

So, what is on your list for sub 2.5" blade folders? Can be a "gentleman's folder" or one with a locking mech, or whatever - so long as it's smallerish.

The Benchmade Aphid comes to mind, but it's discontinued, and I'm not necessarily in love with the assist.

What you got?

My favorite is the Spyderco Techno CTS-XHP with a 2.33" cutting edge, and 2.55" tip to grip.
Very heavy-duty folder, but easy to carry and not a fatty.
I really like this Techno.

Benchmade Impel Lurch- 2" auto. Similarly, Microtech and Protech both make ~2" autos for California buyers who want to be able to obtain autos.

Victorinox SAK
Spyderco Dragonfly
Kershaw Chive
SOG Flash I
Spyderco Ladybug

Spyderco Leaf Storm with a 2.4" blade of CPM-S30V steel and weighing just 2.5 ounces.

Spyderco Copilot
Spyderco Jester
Spyderco Cricket
Spyderco Spin
Spyderco Lava
Spyderco Balance
Spyderco Equilibrium
Spyderco Micro-Dyad
Spyderco Squeak
Spyderco Chicago
Spyderco Dodo
Spyderco Kiwi
Spyderco Dragonfly
Spyderco Navigator2
Spyderco Kopa
Spyderco Spur
Spyderco Salsa
Spyderco Dyad Jr.
Spyderco Cat
Spyderco Ambitious
Spyderco Pride

This is a non-complete list of Spyderco knives under 2.5 inches.

Spyderco's better "little big knives" jump to mind (the non-sucky knives on Invective's list above, like the Dragonfly, Kopa and Cat), though IMO the Cold Steel Tuff Lite is superior for actual use if you're going to cut things.

Extrema Ratio makes 2 folders with a blade just a hair over 2.5 inches, the BF2 Pitbull (drop point) and Wardog (tanto). Theyre both short-bladed versions of the BF2, so they still retain the full size handle.

...so long as it's smallerish.

Ooops, didnt notice the "smallerish" part. Forget about the ER then.

That actually looks perfect, but like I said I don't care anything about the auto. Do you know if BM makes anything like that that isn't auto?

Thanks!
