Do you promise not to tell...
Man I am out there today:D

This topic has been hashed and re-hashed again and again but I swear.
I just got back some wood that was Stabilized from K&G it seemed to still be curing.
It smelled EXACTLY like Fiberglass resin.

Has anyone figured out the Secret formula yet?

Robert,

I don't know what the secret formula is, but I like the use of fiberglass resin with hidden tang knives. It is really tough and doesn't appear to be as brittle as 2 ton epoxy. I haven't tried it on slab handle knives, it might not have the sticking power, but on a couple of old hidden tang knives I made a few years back, I wanted to change the handles and had a devil of a time getting the handles to split and peel off.Its tough stuff, thats why they use it in boat making. Has anyone out there ever tried making a handle mold and pouring a fiberglass resin handle, I would like to hear about it if you have, because I'm working on a mold for that right now.You wouldn't have to worry about the moisture and you can dye it any color. This knifemaking sure is fun:D :D

I was refering to Stabilizing the handle not attaching them. I just wondered if someone might have unlocked Pandoras box yet :D
