Had a couple of emails asking what the tang looked like on the Lite Machete, so I though I'd post a pic up here:

Thanks Jeff! I was thinking about this the other day.

In theory if I ever wanted to step up to a 22" machete (or whatever length), would the tang from a standard Imacasa 22" be the same so I could put it in those excellent micarta scales?

Might need to have 42 blades start tearing some Imacasas apart.

No, when we get the blades in from Imacasa we send them to the laser to re-profile the tang, otherwise we wouldn't get a perfect fit inside the handle as we're getting now.

Condor Knife and Tool started offering their machete's with mikarta handle options. Maybe you could save yourself some work?

Just more of a thinking out loud thing Ron. I'm a new machete user, I think I'll figure this one out before getting another.

I was wondering about this as well. Figured it would show up in a pic eventually. Thanks a ton.

Is it possible to offer a full tang in the shape of the handle shown so one does not have to recess an after market micarta slab?

You know I'd do that anyway. :D

I'm almost done with that Burriquito--next I'm tackling a 22" Cuma.

Thanks for posting up the pics, Jeff! I was desperately wondering what it looked like under there! Neat trick with the laser cutting.:thumbup:
