I haven't used it extensivly, but it seems to have a decent HT. The grind is a bit off one one side, sort of curves a bit.
Well, I started out carving the new handle to fit the tunnels, with hand tools. I used a sander to get the overall shape I needed, tap on the head as to mark where it was rubbing.
So, on and off again and again, each time routing out the 4 grooves. Once I was most of the way there, I used a flat tree stump, a rubber mallet, and a hammer (only on the hickory handle) to force it on the rest of the way. I did slightly crack the new handle in the process. Some wood glue, some rescue tape, and then the cammo wrap finished it off. I've cut down two trees last week, used the Marbles double bit to de-limb both trees.
It's really a hammer handle, not really the best choice, but it was free. I guess I was trying to see how good the Marbles performed before commiting to buying a better handle.
I paid $30 for the Marbles, the original shaft was crap, don't trust it. If you find one with an even grind, and want to re-handle one, I guess it's worth it, for $30.
