A little Bowie In Progress.
My first bowie and hidden tang knife. My last bit of 3/16 1084. Ground on my 1x30. The lump of metal next to it will be my guard and its also 1084. Slotted the guard with a drill and files im pretty happy with the fit. I was nervous to do it but it was much easier then i thought
NOTE: do not slot your guard until AFTER you have sander your tang/ricasso or your slot will end up to big!! This is the second guard I slotted
The handle will be a nice piece of stabilized crushed velvet koa that I ordered from burl source. Pretty excited with the project and I'm going crazy waiting for my koa.
Where do you guys get broach tools for slotting blocks?
