This is one of my Little Bear designs. The wood came from the customer and originated in the Queen Charlotte Islands, BC, Canada. I had it stabilized by WSSI, after stabilizing this I think is the hardest wood I have ever worked with. My customer hasn't gotten back to me to confirm what this wood is but I think he said it was Yew wood. Whatever it is the stuff is really nice!

Specs:
Steel - CPM154CM
Blade Length - 3 1/4"
Overall Length - 6 3/4"
Bolsters - 416SS
Pins - 416SS & mosaic
Handle - I think stabilized Yew Wood

Thanks for looking.

Sean, that is a great looking knife! Your customer will be thrilled with it.

Thanks everyone. I wish I had a whole lot more of that wood. I could see moving away from Ironwood in favour of this wood.

VERY nice Sean. The wood does look great. Sort of similar to ironwood in color. I have some Yews that are bushes. I can't imagine that wood coming from those?

Thanks guys. You're right it would make a good pocket carry. I'll have to think of a sheath option for this design some time.
