Little Big Knife must haves?

I've been carrying a Böker Nano in my watch pocket that was recently displaced by a Spyderco Techno. I love how little and chunky the Nano is and how industrial and rock solid the Techno is.

I think I've found my niche in smaller than small folders, so I need some more suggestions to buy along those lines.

So, Nano - Techno sized, preferably not bigger than 2.5 blade length max, (roughly, techno is 2.55)

No slip joint

BEEFY, there's nothing big about a ladybug or honey bee.

Price below $350

I don't like Böker Subcoms

Go!

Sound off!

Oh, since you put it that way...

Benchmade 755 MPR (2.9"), Boker Plus Tom Krein Pocket Bowie*, +1 Spyderco Dragonfly 2 (not beefy per se but cuts beyond its size)...

ETA *fixed-blade but very pocket friendly

MPR is precisely the size and shape I'm looking for.

However that thing is ugly as he'll, it's too busy, channels and accents all over it. I find simplicity more appealing, but on the right track gentleman!

I dunno if 3mm thick is beefy enough, but the Spyderco DiAlex Junior merits serious consideration. Packs maximum cutting edge in a very economical frame. Might be a little bit bigger than what you're looking for though.

Good luck, OP! :)

I've been eyeing the Cold Steel Tuff Lite, probably pick one up since it's so cheap, but it looks cheap as well :/

Take a look at the Brous Silent Soldier neck knife some beefy stuff in a small package.

Brous' silent soldier flipper is beefy and in your price range too!

Glad you like my suggestion! I have the flipper as well the only gripe I have with it is that I wish it had tip up carry.

But overall it's a great knife and flips great once you push down like a button instead of pushing back like a lever. Feels great in the hand especially with the huge hole the grip is very secure!

Since you like the Boker Nano so much....
Why not pick up a real Curtiss Nano? You can get them in a Liner Lock or Frame Lock.
I have the Blue G-10 Liner Lock, plan to pick up a Frame Lock in the future.
And on the Plus Side - It's a custom.

And this knife doesn't fit "Beefy" but check out the Spyderco Gayle Bradley Air. It's beautiful and is a heck of a little knife. I don't go anywhere without my Nano or Air.
