Little Big Knife

I was just looking at my new custom LCC and admiring the fact that although it is a small knife, it "feels big". In other words, it feels substantial and fills large hands. It got me thinking what are some other "little big knives". To me a little big knife should be less than 7.5" OAL with a blade under 7.25". Despite these restriction, the knife should feel robust in one's hand.

Anthony,
Any knife with an overall length of 7.5" and a blade length of 7.25" is going to be a might uncomfortable to get a good grip on.

But, assuming we're talking about a blade length of 3.25" and under, I would have to nominate my small Sebenza as a folder that seems to cut bigger than its overall dimensions would allow. Tom Mayo's mid size TNT is another that readily falls into this category.

The REKAT Sifu comes to mind...Oh, wait a minute, the Sifu IS a BIG knife!

However...The REKAT Pioneer II is truly a "little big knife", as is the REKAT Carnivore Cub.

Great topic! How about the Benchmade 940,690 and 770. I know some will say the 770 is a mini-knife, but with an almost 3" blade and an excellent handle shape, it cuts on par with or better than most mid sized knives.
As for customs, I agree about the TNT. The Chimera is great in this parameter for a lot of the same reasons. The Med Apogee is another.

On the much lower price end, I was and remain amazed at how well the CRKT large LUS fills the hand. For a 3" blade, it feels pretty large. Don't do a lot of cutting, so can't speak well on that subject.

If you've ever used a Spyderco Tim Wegner Mouse you know how big a small knife can be. Brilliant design! My wife's Mouse fits my medium-sized male hands perfectly and it feels like I could cut down trees with it.

Another little big knife is the Native by Spyderco. Tell me where I can see a picture of Tom Mayo's work, I've been hearing so much about his work.
