I'm aware of most of the knives in Spyderco's line of little big knives, but does anyone have any recommendations of other knives similar to these. Something a long the lines of a sub-3" blade with a decent sized handle.

More points for a "chubby" blade like on most spydercos.

I'm not totally opposed to fix blades, but folding is preferred.

Bark River offers several fixed blades that would qualify as little big blades. The PSK, Micro Canadian, Pro Scalpel, Bumble Bee, and L'il Tusk are some that come immediately to mind.

The new benchmade shane sibert is about the biggest little knife I've seen.

Subcoms, ka bar fin folders, emerson snubby, extrema ratio MP0, raidops little john, tons of neckers, thick and small types from TOPS, many out there.

+1, but I recommend the Mini Canadian. I just got one myself and am very impressed. "Little big knife" describes it to a T.
