I decided to head out today and compare my little Bushy with a similar sized production blade my Buck Diamondback.

Here are the knives, both blades around the same length and thickness, the Buck being hollow ground and the Bushy convexed.

First I headed up to a nice testing area.....

Mt Baker was looking pretty cool today....

I was searching around for decent sticks to test but all I could find were small dried hard ones that were full of knots, oh well !
I decided to point the sticks and then cut a notch to check how each knife performed.First up was the Buck, this little fella suprised me as I don't use it much, it cut pretty well and was quite comfy to use.....

Next up the little Bushy, the difference was like night and day....no kidding this thing did the work in seconds and was a breeze to use.......

Although similar sized the real difference can be seen in this pic, the oversized handle really gives you maximum control and allows you to work without getting any hot spots......

You must have huge hands pitdog. I know the diamondback as I have one myself and it feels about right to me. I'm pretty sure your little one wouldn't fit my hands very well!

My hands are only medium sized buddy, the Diamond back feels ok to me as well but as soon as I swap over to the Bushy it just feels way better !
The Bushy handle is only about the same size as the smallest hammer shafts you find in a hardware store, I doubt anyone would hold one of those and think" wow that's huge !"
I'd guess it's very slightly larger than a wooden handled Mora !

Now that is an interesting scenario Pit.

Hammers and knives. I never really viewed them the same way :)
