This is a little skinner I forged recently - finished this and a larger one last week (it went to Dad for Christmas). Used some elk antler that my dad found in Montana in 1982 after a forest fire near Wisdom. The pics aren't great, but my 2 year old nephew was trying to help, and the light wasn't great anyway... As always, your comments are much appreciated. Thanks for looking, and Merry Christmas!
Specs as follows:
- overall length: about 8 1/4"
- blade: a little over 3 3/4", forged 5160, clay quenched, finished to 1000 grit. The blade has a very subtle hamon.
-handle/guard: nickel silver, black spacer, red spacer, water buffalo, elk antler. Buttcap is water buffalo epoxied to the handle and pinned with nickel silver pins (wasn't able to get a pic of it).
Thanks for looking!
