Picked up the Gnome last week. It is a sweet little knife. I really dig the micarta handles with the liner. It gives it an extra level of class. It's perfect for pocket carry as I often forget it is there. Not bad for the price but finish could be better. The grind was assymetrical and the blade near the choil was slightly beveled. Lastly the scales were scratched. Other than the fit and finish its a great little knife.

I will probably mod it with jimping on the spine like the mini prymate.

Here is what the Boker Plus Gnome looks like along with the stag handled Boker Plus Rhino - and a Boker Pry-Mate. All have red liners between the blade and scale. The Pry-Mate is understandably nicer - better steel, too. Huge price differential for the German made vs PRC made knives - you decide if it's worth it... the Plus line is nice.

The Stag Rhino came with a leather sheath, too. The other two are Kydex.

Stainz

I was eyeing the pry mate and the mini pry mate, but it was way out of my budget. How's the grip on the mini Stainz? Is it a 2 or 3 fingered grip?

Sorry to hear the finish on your Gnome was less than perfect. Mine was A+ out of the box and razor sharp. Gotta love these little Gnomes! :D
