I picked this up for the shop today, thinkin I might be able to use it for some "mycarta" or other things. What else do you think this could this be used for? The plate is 9.5 x 12 in size. Larry

Cool little press you got there. Is that top plate pyramid shaped? Hard to tell from the pics. I really need to get one of those, sure can come in handy.

1. blade vise for BIG blades.
2. Straighten antlers, not just a piece, the whole thing!
3. Thinning steal, e.g. you have 1/4" but want 3/16", put it in and snug it down until you get the thickness desired.
4. Stack all your $100 bills in it and compress the stack to put a paper band around them.
5. Squeeze a nickle until the buffalo bellows.
6. crush aluminum beer,... uuhh, I mean soda cans
7. flatten chicken breasts before cooking them.
8. make flattened road kill without the expense of driving a car over them.
9. Squeeze extra virgin olive oil from extra virgin olives.

Add some foam and press kydex

Add some aluminum plates and quench stainless

Cut up small pieces of nickle silver, coper, and brass, stack them up and then press them flat before binding for mokume

Got a slight warp in a blade? Use this with a jig to flatten

LOTS of other ideas come to mind as well. I've been looking forward to finding a fly press for the above purposes.
