Little Help fo a NEWB!

I picke up an Ontario TAK at the funshow today. Paid only 65 bucks. I went looking for a RAT RC4 or 5 but didn't find any. As far as I know...I thought Ontario made the RAT knifes. But after some time on ARFCOM some guys told me to come here for the info I was looking for. Couple of questions...

The box that came with the knife say Randalls Adventure Training. The knife only says Ontario and TAK on the blade.

Do i have the TAK 1? Or is there a difference from TAK and TAK1 or is it the same knife?

Is this a RAT knife?

Is it a good knife?

Or any other info would be great. And glad to be here.

As far as i know it was Ontario rat, then they seperated and randell made rat knives. now it recently turned from rat to ESEE, i THINK the RCs where the last colabo with ontario and Rat. So yeah im probly wrong but i might be correct

you have an ontario RAT, it is not the same as older branded RAT cutlery or new branded ESEE knives. is it a good knife? some would say it is fine, the F&F on the newer ESEE's are better IMO and the ESEE's have the newest designs. for $65 i think you did pretty well. but like i said it is not an ESEE.

and tuffthumbz randall made knives and randalls adventure and training are two completely different things.

Yeah im still learning, all this knife brand stuff gets confusing. One thing i do know is that RAT Ontario, ESEE who cares they all kick ass
