Little help with a bucklite

I just bought a older bucklite from a local store that had it laying in the shelf for a few years. My question is the box says "0424 II BK COMPL." on it and the blade is stamped "501]", and has the plastic bucklite handle. Did I get the wrong box?

A few years ago, Buck decided to rid themselves of some leftover Bucklite handle inventory. To do so, they combined 112 blades with 422 handles and 501 blades with 424 handles. I may be wrong, but I do not recall that 426s with 110 blades were likewise matched up. It is certainly possible and perhaps someone else will have a better memory or documentation. Now, I have seen 426s with 110 blades but it was not in conjunction with the aforementioned Buck project to reduce excess handle inventory. Joe could probably correct any errors in my memory and add more to this.

a couple of years ago I bought a Bucklite with a 110 blade at the factory that was listed as a buildout. I paid $10.00 plus tax. I should have bought ten! dont remenber what the box had on the label though.

Here is the 426/110 build out made 9/4/2008. Buck also made a 422/112 about the same time I do not have any of those.

Nice addition and pic LB, I wonder how many they made? That handle had to be sitting around the factory(s) for 13-14 years.
