In my knife pocket, I carry a little cotton cloth, to wipe my knife down as needed. Does anyone else do this? Thanks.

I'm an old school guy so I always have a hankie in my back pocket. I hardly ever use it to blow my nose. On many occasions it gets used to wipe down my knife though.

Shirt tail used. In the fall and winter I wear heavy flannel shirts with the shirt tails out and use that. Other times my pant leg. keepem sharp

When I'm just wiping away fingerprints at home I use an old Glasses Cloth, if it can be used for glasses then it will be fine for blades.

If I'm out I just wipe it on my jeans.

I'm exactly the same, one problem wiping on my jeans though.
Both new knives a Spidie Rookie and a Centofante new cream colored jeans
slipped and sliced a 1" hole in them. Then last month my new black jeans I was talking and wiping the blade and ^%$# did the same thing again
I told my wife that I snagged them on an old steamer trunk.
It's a wonder I can walk and chew gum at the same time.

i lick mine too.
then i use the inside of my shirt.
i use my jeans to strop sometimes.
if i just sharpened it i use my sock to wipe off the grit.

i have a polishing cloth at home. every once and a while i wipe my knives down, but i don't go nuts.

I don't worry about it too much , maybe at the end of the day it gets wiped down , if I remember , don't get me wrong , I maintain my gear but I figure I don't clean the bll of my gun after every shot ;)

I wipe them if they are dirty on my pants ankle, and often the thigh. To be totally honest I have cut a shirt before on accident, paper towls work great and are easy to clean. We keep stacks of kitchen towls/rags around the house so its easy to wipe things down around the house. If I'm out I have done the sock wipe as well. But most of the time...I can just wait till I get home and wash my knife w/soap and water and add a tocuh of oil once it dries.

I keep a silicone cloth, a sharpener and a strop in my bug out bag which is with me at all times.

Along with carrying a slip joint, I also starting carrying a hankie - well bandana in my pocket. I use it for wiping about everything including pocket knives and 5 year olds. Both of this items are things my grandpa and father-in-law carried/carry - both men I respect.

I carry a Recon Wrap in my back pocket. (I need it for a mask if I get into a smoke situation.) It's microfiber and works great on eyeglasses, and also on knives. But the best if you're going to carry a kit anyway, get a chamois from auto supply and cut it into smaller pieces. You can stash the pieces everywhere. Works really well cleaning glasses and knives.
