I was in the mood to make a couple of small knives. I had some .050" thick 52100 laying around so why not. The walnut handled knife is my simple version of the Evans Knife and Tool "Companion". It was made it for a good buddy of mine. I think it's a good design, useful for many jobs and a simple handle that feels decent in various grips. The other knife is just a small hunter with Padauk handles. Both steels were hardened/tempered to ~63HRC. Thanks for looking!

Beautiful knives. Sometimes it is much harder to make something simple so beautiful. I especially like the Evan’s knife and tool version you did. That shape has always spoken to me.

Your wood handled version sort of makes me realize the similarities between the Evan’s knife and tool companion and the Canadian belt knife.

I’m having a hard time figuring out which one I like more! I’m leaning towards the second one, but damn if I don’t love the blade profile on the first one. Great little pieces!
