I took some pictures for another thread and thought I would share them with the rest of the members. These are two older very small knives I have acquired over the years. I thought they were cool and wanted to share these neat knives.

Thanks for looking,
John

Whoa!

At first I didn't pay any attention to the coins beside them, but when I did it was incredibly surprising how small those knives are!

Miniatures are neat! I like to look at them at knife shows where you can really see how detailed they are. (I always carry a small magnifying glass with me :) )

I'm a big fan of little knives. I remember seeing a couple like the very small one some years ago...I'd forgotten about it.

Thanks for sharing the pics.
:)

The one by the quarter is awesome. The smallest one I have is just a little junky folder from a flea market. It's about 3.5" overall, probably close to your top one.

Where did you get those tiny ones?

I usually think of the congress my father got for me when I turned 10 as my first real knife. But my first knife was actually a miniature I bought at a dime store when I was about 7. My parents debated taking it away from me, but they decided to let me keep it.

The first thing I wanted to do with it was to sharpen it. My dad told me to run the edge across the corner of the stone. In other words, he was having me increase the dullness. Speaking of dull, at the time I believed him. It never did get sharp. :o

I still have the congress, but that miniature is long gone. Thanks for showing your knives.

A ladie that works with my wife gave the smallest one. The other two I picked up either at a yard sale or flea market. They have carbon blades which holds a nice edge. Thanks for checking out my mini's.

When I read "Little knives" I wasn't expecting that little.

BTW, Nice Copperlock.

Thanks for sharing! Those are interesting.

I know a custom knifemaker named Eddie Baca who always builds and has one or two little knives, like your quarter-sized knives, for sale at his table during the PKA knife show here in Denver.

I don't understand the draw, but his are always neat and end up selling rather quickly.

Very cool. Thanks for contributing.

Here's a little knife to contribute.

I have no idea what to make of this. Picked it up at a swap meet.

I have a feeling it would clean up nicely.

Here's a picture of my Camillus No. 83: 2.5 inches closed. Paid $2 for it at gunshow. Cute bone scales and all in all, not too shabby condition either.

Here is one I've had forever, don't know where I got it, dimestore maybe. I don't think the sheath came with it though. It measures a whopping 3 3/4". Anyone know anything about it?

Before you clean up any of these little beauties, check in at Bernard Levine's forum and see what he can tell you about the value of the knife and the best way to preserve it. Often, polishing up a legitimate antique will remove much of the value.

blub, I've got one similar to that, slightly shorter, not as nice a handle though. Probably just a cheap souvenir, but I keep it around, just in case Mickey Mouse stops by and needs to borrow a knife. :)

LOL!:D Yeah, my own little 7 year old Mickey Mouse keeps trying to get it from me. "Oh Dad, it's perfect! It's just my size!"

That looks like one of those "Made in Japan" items from when "Made in Japan" did not mean high quality. :)

Yeah, my parents picked it up for me just as a novelty gag from the local flea market. There's excess glue or something all over it.
