Hi guys,

Just finnished this little gold lip necker. The blade is from Garry Kelley and it's a cute little thing cast from D2 steel, about three inches overall length. For the handle I used some excelent gold lip slabs that I got from Mr. Peter Cua who's a very fine fellow from the Philippines, one of the best places in the world to get MOP. I wonder if you guys were aware about this new source. I am very happy about the deal I've made with him and I've ordered a quite unique knife case, custom made for this particular knife. The case is entirely inlayed with goldlip slabs to match the handle and I think it will be finished soon. I am very excited about it and I'll show it off as soon as I get it.
I was a bit worried that working MOP is too much for me but didn't have a hard time cutting or drilling this stuff. all I did was go slow and be aware of what I'm doing. This material is tougher than I thought. Hope you like it. Now I have to figure out how to make a leather neck sheath for it...

Flava, I like your small necker. Nice contrast with the cast d2 and pearl. About how mush US money would some scales cost from your source?

Thank you Bruce for the kind words. The contrast between the pearl handle and the primitive blade is what I was going for.
Now about how much does the scales cost from him I can't give you exact prices, it depends on size, grade and quantity. If there is an acceptable ammount eligible for wholesale the prices will be very good, up to 50% lower compared to what can be found in USA. Small quantities won't be such a great deal due to shipping and taxes. If you need detailed information you can contact him directly at kusangloob@yahoo.com , I've dealed with him and he's a very nice and flexible guy.

Flava.
