Long time no see, as I have been occupied with my business degree for the last year.

Luckily I'm gonna be finished in three months and then I'll be looking for a job. Hopefully I'll be able to get something close to my current home and shop, otherwise my knifemaking days will be put on hold for the forseeable future. If I can't get a job in this economy anyway I'll just turn to making knives ;).

Obviously I haven't gotten around to making a lot of knives for the last few months. So I was quite happy to finish at least this small one for myself.

For this little edc I simply scaled down my most popular "onion chopper" kitchen knife design and tweaked the handle for a better fit.

Here are the specs and pics (sorry for the bad quality):

lenght: 14 cm overall , 7 cm blade
steel: 1.2842 (similar to O-2)
handle: countured (can't really tell in the pics) ironwood with ss pins

It's a great little knife (especially the broad blade is very usefull) and I plan on making a nice leather sheath for it. Since it's street legal in Germany I'll hopefully get a lot of use out of it.

It's orange G10 sibbling now resides in Beijing by the way.

Looking forward to your comments, hope you guys (and gals) like it.

All the best

Marcus

Great chopper, my friend......nice to see you making a knife or two......I still very much enjoy the one you gave me several years ago. :)
